In Galicia’s archetypal landscape, in Lugo, a 400 m², five-bedroom home is being designed. Its massing is articulated through seven roofs that create a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, tying the house to the building memory of the place.
The project seeks to reinterpret Galician architecture from a contemporary perspective, moving away from the idea that the modern and the exclusive must be expressed as abstract, rootless volumes. Here, luxury is understood as respect for the land, as cultural continuity, and as a way of living in harmony with the environment.
In a region where tradition has rarely been successfully adapted to new forms of housing, this proposal offers a different model: a villa that honors what is Galician and projects it into the future.
